Before you spend more on SEO.
Use this checklist to review the basics of your local business website. Start with anything that stops a customer finding or contacting you.
1. Try contacting your business on mobile
Open your website on your phone. Check the call button, enquiry form and confirmation message. Send a test enquiry and confirm it reaches the right person.
2. Explain each main service
Check that visitors can understand what you do, where you work and what happens after they enquire. Use your own project knowledge and accurate examples.
3. Check your business information
Review your business name, contact details, hours and service areas across your website and business listings. Correct outdated details.
4. Review access and measurement
Know who controls your domain, website, Google Business Profile and Search Console. Use delegated access rather than sharing passwords. Confirm how enquiries are counted.
5. Check loading and usability
Run a mobile page check and review the findings in context. A fast page still needs clear content and a useful next step.
6. Agree the priorities
Separate urgent technical or contact problems from longer-term content opportunities. Choose a manageable first set of improvements and record what changes.
